First Day of a New School Year!

Today was a day of firsts for us. Brady started St. Paul's Christian Day School as a Frisky Frog for the first time today. I think he had a pretty good day. When Miss Candy got him out the car this morning she tried to hand him his blanket, and he told her "I no want my blankie. Put it in my bag." He walked right in like he knew exactly what he was doing. Miss Carina, his extended day teacher, said that walked in the room and started playing like he had been coming there a long time. She said no tears were shed. That made me feel good as a mommy. Brady's Frisky Frog teacher is Mrs. Schmidt. We are excited that he will be in her class. She is a great teacher who puts the children first. Brady will have a great first year.

Kade couldn't wait to go to school this morning because he was so excited to be an Ocean Treasurer. Kade is in Mrs. Hoppens pre k class this year. He had a fun first day. When I picked him up he told me that he stayed in the "Happy Can" today, he learned a new nursery rhyme "Humpty Dumpty," and he practiced writing his name with Miss Delilah during naptime. He was also excited about getting to move from the little playground to the big playgound this year. The one thing that Kade said he really wants to learn this year is how to read. This will be a very productive year for Kade. I know he will learn so much more with Mrs. Hoppens.
