We Survived the First Week of School!

The first week of school turned out to be a really good week, although it was kind of long for me. I am not used to teaching all day long, bell to bell. It gets pretty repetitive. I wasn't much for talking when I got home in the evenings. Kade and Brady had a great first week. Kade had something to talk to us about everyday that he did in his "Ocean Treasurers" class. They learn a new nursery rhythm each week. This week they learned "Humpty Dumpty." They also had show and tell Friday. He took some pictures from all his little summer vacations to share with the class. Brady had an awesome first week as a "Frisky Frog" considering it was his first time at St. Paul's. He never cried once or acted like he wanted Mommy. Mrs. Connie said whenever he got tired or a little cranky, all he wanted was his blankie. He must have had lots of fun playing because each day that I picked him up, he was filthy from head to toe and worn out. He was more than ready each night for bedtime. All in all, it was a great start to what we hope will continue to be a great school year!
