Happy Father's Day!

This year Dane got to spend Father's Day with his three boys. He is very proud to say that he has three boys. Dane is an awesome father to our kiddos. I couldn't have hand picked a better dad for them. I can't get enough of watching him play ball in the yard with them or taking them down to the tank fishing. They learn so much from him and because of that they will continue to grow up to be fine young boys . For Father's Day, the boys gave Dane two new shirts (a blue button down shirt and a new polo shirt) and a new watch that he liked alot.
Dane and I are also blessed to each have a great dad. For lunch, we went over to Nana and Papa Rau's house for lunch to give Papa a Father's Day gift. Then that evening Popo Loewe came over or our house for dinner and get his present. May all of you dads know how much you are loved and appreciated each and every day.

Movin Out!

Kade tends to get pretty fed up with Brady at times. The other day the boys were riding in the truck with Dane and Brady took Kade's seat. Kade told Dane he didn't like Brady and didn't want him for a brother anymore because he was mean. He was tired of putting up with Brady. Brady then turned to Kade and told him "I will just move out. I will move in with Aunt Lolo and Uncle Joe, and I'm never coming back." Now I know this sounds funny coming from a three year old, but my worry as a mother is if my three year is already saying he is going to move out, what is he going to do when he's ten and gets mad, skip town? Or worse, where's he going to go at sixteen; high tail it out the state in my car and never come back? I guess it's something to ponder on.

I'm a Cowboy, Baby!

You never know what you might find when you walk into your child's room; what they are in to, what they are wearing, what they are making??? Well, this is what I found when I walked into Brady's room last week. All I could do was laugh and shake my head. He can be quite the character. Mind you, he put all this on himself.

2 Months Old!

Nate is now two and a half months old already. He is growing so fast. Sometimes it seems like I can actually see him growing. Him being my last child, I want the growing process to slow down so I can enjoy it all just a little bit longer, but I know there is no slowing it down. At two months of age, Nate is:
*smiling and laughing
*some nights sleeping through the night, and other nights he wakes up once
*still loves to be held and lets you know when he's not
*looks at you and tries to talk his baby talk
*gripping objects
*sucking his thumb; all three boys are thumb suckers
*eating more
*holds his head up really well
*will only sleep on his tummy
*responds to your voice and looks to find you
*developed a nap schedule; one in the morning and one in the afternoon
*won't take a bottle; however, Mimi Wiesepape did get almost two bottles down him
last week when I left him there for the day. Go MIMI!!

At his two month check-up with Dr. Baker, he weighed 13lbs. 15oz. (95%tile) and was 23 1/4 inches long (60%tile). He did well with his immunizations. He got an oral one and three shots in the leg. We had a few tears, but nothing like what I expected it to be. Besides a bit of a sore leg the next day, he had no reactions to the shots.

All Puckered Out!

After a day of all play and no rest, this is what we found when we walked into the living room the other night when Aunt Lolo and Uncle Joe came over for dinner. The boys absolutely adore Uncle Joe. They don't leave his side when he is around because he is a great playing partner. I don't blame them; Uncle Joe is great with those boys. They are very lucky to have him in their lives.

One Season Down, Many Many More to Come!

Kade made it through his first t-ball season. He had a really good time playing ball with his little team and having Daddy as his coach. Dane and Cody worked hard with this group of boys, and by the end of the season you could totally tell they understood the game so much better and learned a thing or two about what to do with the ball when it was hit to them. We had a little end of season party for the team at CiCi's Pizza, and gave all the boys a trophy. They were all very excited about getting a trophy from Coach Rau. We look forward to many more seasons of baseball in the years to come.

I Say Potato, You Say Patato!

We managed to grow quite the potato crop this year in our garden. We planted a row of white potatoes and a row of red potatoes. Now we have more potatoes than we know what to do with. We had some heavy rains a few weeks ago which forced us to dig up the potatoes for fear that they would rot if we kept them in the ground too much longer. The boys couldn't wait to take on that task. Anything that required getting dirty and muddy, they are first in line to volunteer. Kade kept at it longer than Brady did, but they both eventually got bored and left Dane and me to finish up. The hard work we put into the garden is all worth it in the end because there is nothing like good, home grown veggies for dinner each night.

Splishing and Splashing!

Kade and Brady invited Jenna and Leah to come over and try out Brady's new slip-n-slide that he got for his birthday. What a great way to kick off the hot summer that lies ahead of us.

Maifest!

I know I am a little behind on my posts, but better late than never I guess. The maifest is an annual tradition in this town, and it has been for many years. I always enjoyed watching the parades as a kid, and I wanted my boys to be apart of it as well. We headed downtown to watch the junior maifest parade that Friday. We met up with Aunt Stacy, Jenna, Leah and Luke. It was quite warm outside that day, but we still had fun watching the parade.
