Cousin Coy Turns One!
My sister's little boy, Coy, turned one year old back in July. They had a party out at their house with family and friend. He had a tractor themed party. Coy is a very special little boy in our family. It is amazing how much you can love another child who isn't your own. Coy and Nate are only about three months apart in age. It is so much fun seeing them grow up together. They interact so well with one another. Happy Birthday Sweet Coy! We love you.

Swimming Lessons! (summer 2011)
Kade and Brady each took swimming lesson again this past summer. Kade took his last year of lessons with Kari Hathaway. He has always been what we call our "water bug." He took to the water as a baby and has ended up turning into a great swimmer. This last go around, he worked on different swimming strokes, treading water, and diving. He did great.
Brady took swimming lessons this past summer with Erin Buls. Lets just say that Brady has not taken to the water like his older brother. Last summer was a complete bust, so we really didn't have too high of expectations going into this summer. Brady never ceases to amaze me though; he ended up coming around, and before the two weeks was up, Erin had him going under to get rings, putting his head under while he tried to swim to the wall, having his legs and arms work together, and jumping off the side and swimming back to the side. Thank you Erin for all your help. We look forward to next summer.

Baseball Camp!
Kade attended his first baseball camp this past June. It was a week long hosted by Coach Hathaway and Coach Long. He had a really great time. He learned all the fundamentals of the game. Past Cub players and college players came out for the week to help with the camp. Several of Kade's buddies attended the camp with him, and they had a great time especially with the older boys helping out. They worked on their fielding, throwing, and hitting. Towards the end of the week, they began playing games against each other. Every time they did something well they got baseball cards. Kade ate that up. He challenged himself everyday to get more baseball cards than he did the day before. All in all, he learned a great deal about the game of baseball and looks forward to attending again next summer.
