Brady's 1st T-Ball Season!
Brady thoroughly enjoyed his first year playing baseball. This year he was apart of the Huskers team. Wesley Maurer, Dane, and Russell Kohring helped coach the team. As soon as Brady would finish playing one game, he was asking us on the way home if he could play again tomorrow. He truly loves the game and seems to have a passion for it. We'll see if it develops into anything in the years to come. The Huskers ended their season with a pizza party at the ballpark, and each of the boys got a trophy.

Digging Potatoes!
A couple of weeks ago, Dane took the boys out to the garden to dig potatoes. That is something they all love to do each year. The potatoes were the first of many tasty veggies out of our garden.
Summer Time Means Snake Time!
Kade went out to the barn the other day to check if the chickens had laid any eggs. The next thing we know he is running out yelling "Snake. There's a snake in the barn." Dane got his gun and had Kade show him where it was. It ended up being about a five foot long chicken snake. That night Dane and the boys went down to the tank snake hunting and ended up shooting two there. I am sure those are the first of many we will see over the summer.
Independence Cook-off!
Dane, Cody Stelter, and Grant Lischka entered the Independence cook-off back on April 21st. Besides having a great time hanging out and cooking, the guys ended up with 2nd place ribs and 3rd place chicken. Now if they could just figure out how to that brisket juicy and tender.
Happy Birthday Brady & Nate!
Back on April 14th, we celebrated Brady's 5th and Nate's 2nd birthday at our house. Brady wanted a baseball theme for his party this year, so that is what we went with. We celebrated the day with wonderful family and great friends. We served burgers, chips and appetizers for the meal. The boys each invited some of their friends they went to St. Paul's with, and I have to say they had a blast. Happy Birthday my wonderful boys! We love you so very much and look forward to so many more birthday parties in the future.

Easter Weekend!
We kicked off the Easter weekend this year by taking the boys to Fireman's Park for an Easter Egg Hunt for the public. It was a good thought, but ended up being "a little too public" for us. It's probably not something we would again.
Saturday afternoon, I took the boys to go pick wildflowers to make their Easter nests for the Easter Bunny. They must have done pretty well with their nests. The Easter Bunny showed up and let treats for all the boys.

The boys woke up early Easter Sunday to check out what the Easter Bunny had left. Kade and Brady loved all the candy, and Nate took quite a liking to his new camo rubber boots that was left in his nest. He insisted on putting them on to go hunt Easter Eggs outside.
The boys had an Easter Egg hunt during Sunday School before the church service. There's nothing like getting your kids all sugared up before the church service. We ended up in the cry room pretty quickly.
After church, we went to Nana and Papa Rau's house for lunch and another Easter Egg Hunt for the kiddos.
We ended the day having Aunt Lolo, Auncle Joe, Cousin Coy, and Popo Loewe over for supper and one last Easter Egg Hunt with cousin Coy.
