Every year we grow a vegetable garden, and every year Dane adds a row or two. Over the years our garden has grown quite large. This year we managed to grow some good potatoes. The boys couldn't wait to dig them out. The said it was like digging for Easter Eggs. They had so much fun. Besides potatoes, we grew tomatoes, cucumbers, quite a variety of squash, corn, okra, beans, and onions. The boys take a huge interest in the garden. Kade likes to help plant the garden and pick it. Brady just likes picking it. It has really become a hobby for the whole family. We eat everything we grow, and I can the pickles and tomatoes. We also planted watermelons out in our hay patch this year, and boy did we grow watermelons; way more than we know what to do with. I am glad we have so many friends and family members to give them to. While our summer garden is almost done with, we'll be getting ready to plant our fall garden here in a few months.
